Ukitopia Creative OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND

Ukitopia Creative Open House Weekend

(not a festival!) A Celebration of Uki Life Arts and Culture.

Open House_A5 Flyer[4]

Since 2007,  the Uki community have gathered together once a year for a weekend of creativity and art. It is one of the nicest times of the year in Uki. The days are long. The fire flies are out and people seem to be having a little more time to share with each other.

Every year we  come together and celebrate  our unique Uki – Life, Arts and Culture. Sometimes we have “the whole shebang”: with grants and opening ceremonies; sponsors and closing ceremonies;  special guests, 50 bands and wishing ceremonies;  and dozens of performances in multiple  venues (including a teapot!).   And other times, like this year, we take it a little bit easier and simply provide the space and the reason to gather.

In 2015,  you are invited to  bring your friends and family to come together to celebrate our special home town. From Thursday evening until Sunday evening, we have something easy for you to share in and experience.

It will be a pleasure once again to share some songs in the gorgeous Trinity Church for this year’s Ukitopia celebrations. I have spent many years performing in all sorts of situations and feel more inclined now to just share music in a more inclusive way. I’ve invited my dear friend Gabrielle to sing with me and the amazing honey-making Greg Dixon to add some sweet guitar to the mix and I’m hoping the audience will join us in voice too… to fill the church with our lovely Uki harmony.”
“Thomas Keily has a reputation for vivid writing and powerful performance. A professional ghost-writer by day (making captains of industry sound like surprisingly well-read geniuses), by night he is called to poetry.”
